This evening we are wrapping up our grounding meditation series.
We focused on grounding in our guided meditation series this winter,
as those practices are so useful during times of turbulence.
They allow us to feel rooted.
They stabilize, hold focus & foster resiliency.
To review some methods:
-connect with nature & the natural world
-spend time walking with mindfulness
-practice walking meditation
-connect with “mother earth”
-lie in the grass
-take up gardening
-get in touch with the feel of gravity & its effect on your body
-practice balance poses with awareness of the base
-in balance poses, focus on a tree outside the window, visualize you are a tree
-connect with your lower body
-give yourself foot massages
-be more aware of your sense of smell
-when standing or sitting, aware of energy in those places that are grounded
-practice bundle rolls: rolling on your back to side to belly, like kids rolling down a hill
-use root chakra practices
-use exhales to connect with your base
-when lying down, let the exhales allow your body to feel heavy or soft
-use visualizations or meditate on solid images
-chant Om
-create your own grounding practices
Feel the connection.
